Lights, Camera, Action!

My friend Stephanie borrowed some fancy-dancy lights and a backdrop from a friend of hers so we could take some nice maternity pictures of Ginger (who is looking and doing GREAT!). She set everything up in my basement so we had a nice little studio. We had a few hours to play with the lights and do our own pictures last night and this morning. Boy, lighting is COMPLEX!!! I do not claim to have any idea what I am doing, but here are some pictures I got before Stephanie had to return everything. Nora was not feeling well this morning, so she is sucking her thumb in almost all of the pictures. Her temperature is now 100.6, I hope it goes away before tomorrow so she has a fun 4th!

Are you sure that you are not a professional photographer?

Those pictures look fantastic. It looks like you got those taken in a real studio. Nora gets cuter and cuter everyday. She looks so grown up for her age.

Mia, all the photos are great & I really like the new sepia tone header & its color version from the preceding post. From this current post I especially like the family photo that includes you. Did you use a timer or a remote trigger? Happy Independence Day!

Oops! Looks like I posted too fast. I had not waited for the website to load your narrative before I looked at the photos & posted my comment so I missed the mention of Nora's fever. I was wondering about the thumb sucking in so many of the photos but hadn't given it a second thought. I do hope that she is better already!

I really love the picture of just you and Murphey. It looks so great because you guys don't look all done up. I mean it, it is great!
