Top Ten Reasons Mia Hasn't Blogged Lately

10. The basement is cold, and that's where the computer with all of our pictures is. (remember, there are also spiders down there)

9. The basement computer is very, veeeeerrrrrrryyyyyy ssssslllllllooooowwwwww.

8. Nora got a nasty stomach bug that kept her down for a week+ straight, right before Murphey's neck surgery.

7. Murphey had his second neck surgery in 6 months on Monday Dec. 1. He is now fused from c5-c7.

6. Murphey got laid off from work 1 day post-op.

5. Murphey got rehired by his company day 3 post-op and will be working for and with nicer, smarter people who aren't known (and hated by most of the company) for making bad decisions. (Any blogging done during this 48 hours would have been not very nice to read)

4. I potty trained Nora. (Pee, not poop, see #2 below)

3. Have been so exhausted from all of the above that I haven't had the energy to do anything else but facebook on the computer.

2. Nora got constipated. Having never really been constipated, myself, I have a WHOLE NEW understanding for the word and condition.

1. I forgot my blogger password? Not really, but it is possible.

Phew. That being said, I will try to catch everyone up on all the stuff we've been doing when we weren't dealing with the above.

Starting back in the beginning of November... We celebrated my birthday by going on a very nice relaxing picnic organized by my friend Martha and Murphey. The weather was beautiful and Murphey prepared a dream picnic lunch, complete with wine and my new favorite cheese, a dutch parrano (regularly available for free sample at our local grocery store). The kids had a blast running around, playing basketball (well, trying anyway) and eating. The cupcakes that Nora helped make were, of course, the highlight. It was a really special day, complete with great friends.

I'm sorry you had such an up and down time in November. I know what you mean about a child being constipated. Andrew would have bouts of constipation when he was little that were very painful for him. He would cry and cry and would wail that his poop was backed up. If he wasn't in so much pain it would have been funny. He finally grew out of it but it took awhile. I hope Nora doesn't have the same problems. I hope that Murphy is doing better and also feeling better about his job. We were all so shocked to hear about it all from Amy and very concerned about you all. I am glad that everything ended up OK in the end. Oh by the way Happy Late Birthday Mia!!!!
