Halloween Storytime

The Wednesday before Halloween we went to the library again for their Trick-or-Treat storytime. The kids sat through a couple of stories and then got in line and paraded out the library to the civic center next door. In the main lobby of the civic center there are 8 or so offices, and the people working handed out candy to the kids. Nora had a lot of fun last year, so we did it again this year. It's great because she got to see all of her little friends dressed up. We sat them on a wall and gave them all lollipops, and it was the quietest, stillest bunch of toddlers I've ever seen. It was great. They were all so focused on their lollipops.

A special note of thanks goes out to Charlotte for making another monkey head for Nora. She was a monkey again this year, and her old costume 'kinda' still fit, but the hat was definitely too small. Murphey was going to make her another one, but the fabric store ran out of the fur material, so he couldn't get it done when he wanted, then we were in KY, so when we got back and were able to get the material, Charlotte whipped one up in no time flat, making it possible for Nora to go to the library storytime!

My friend Julie made her daughter Anna this beautiful lion costume, and Anna wanted nothing to do with wearing it. She briefly wore the hat/mane, but then wanted it off. All that work!?!?!
