I did my first 10K this morning, the locally infamous Bolder Boulder. It was a blast. Many people dress crazily for it (there was a person dressed in a banana suit and a person in a gorilla suit chased the banana the whole race). I ran it with my friend Martha. She has friends who got married on Saturday. Today, the bride wore a veil, the groom a tuxedo shirt, and there were 4 of us as bridesmaids, wearing old bridesmaids dresses for the whole race. I have to say it was the most fun I've had running. There was entertainment all along the course (bands, belly dancers, dj's) as well as many other things. We ran all throughout Boulder, so in the neighborhoods there were people sitting out on their lawns offering beers, squirts with water guns, and even turns on slip and slides to runners. The weather was perfect for running, cool (about 52) with the occasional few rain drops. We had a few issues in miles 2 and 3 (emergency bathroom breaks), but otherwise my pace was almost a 10 min/mile. I was amazed that Murphey and his dad found me amongst 50,000 runners, and managed to get pictures! Once I entered the stadium I heard them yelling for me and I turned and there they were! Here is the slideshow.

Congrats on the accomplishment! Loved your look; maybe you should market the runner's dress (can dress it up with pearls or dress it down with a bandana on your head).
Felicitaciones Mia! Great time for running in a dress and having all those pit stops along the way. That looked like a lot of fun! Dad
