Nora's 1st Job

Nora was hired by our neighbor, Edward, to pick up his paper while he and his family were out of town for 3 days. He initially wanted to give her a dollar, but I convinced him that she would be WAAAY more excited to get a penny that she could take to the grocery store to ride the horse with. I think I got this picture awhile back to show everyone in blogland the really cool horse at the grocery store that Nora always rides after I've paid for the groceries. Here it is... and the coolest thing about it is that it only costs a penny!
Now, unfortunately, the past 2 trips to the grocery Nora has not gotten to ride the horse because she took a bite out of the tortillas (still in package) that I had picked up (she had a warning not to do it again, so don't think I'm a big meany), and then today, she did the same with the bag of green onions.

Here she is 'on the job'

Putting the paper in the milk box
Visiting with the animals
At this rate, she'll be ready for the lawnmower this summer and snow shoveling this winter. Maybe she could go door to door and hire out to do our neighbor's lawns and sidewalks!
