Nora-isms

I may have posted about this earlier, I can't remember, so forgive me if I'm repeating myself. Nora's speech is great and I love hearing what she has to say. She sometimes amazes me with the things she is able to articulate. The baby-talk stage was so brief with her that I love the little things that she has trouble saying. Here they some:

Gorilla: "Goril-il-la" (I guess she's outgrown this already)

Bottom (i.e. rear-end) : "Bah-mip" (No idea how she gets this, but my mom says I used to say "Bah-min"

Somebody else's turn: "Some else's buddies turn"

Lotion: "Lo-put" (She's outgrown this one, but I loved it. She'd say "Put lo-put on"

And a new one today, which she learned at Charlotte's house, she hasn't really had the opportunity to learn this at my house (wink, wink...)
Dust-bunny: "Bunny Dust"

I wanted to get a bunch of these on video before she starts saying them correctly, so that's what this is. Also, she picks up things so quickly. She knows my dad's name is Chico from hearing my mom call him that. When asked what Grandpoppa's name is, she replys "Papi" because that's what she's heard Charlotte call him. Too funny! She also doesn't hesitate to correct me when I sing a song incorrectly, or when I'm correcting her grammar, as in this video.

She charged the camera, I'm amazed this is even in focus...
Playing with rocks in the front yard.

Nora went running (in her jog stroller, of course) with me and Murf on Sunday. Murf pushed the jog stroller and he stopped every 1/4 mile or so to do push ups (I kept running, I'm not that crazy). Nora enjoyed watching him and even chimed in to help by counting his push-ups. Fast forward to today over at Murf's and Charlotte's, I guess she found Murf's push-up bars and decided to get in a few of her own. They gave me their memory card with lotsa good pictures and videos, but I'm having trouble pulling them down onto my computer, so you'll have to bear with a shoddy video I took this evening at our house.

Here's a recent video I took of Murphey and Nora. She is playing a cheap recorder I bought her awhile back, and he is playing his, which I suggested he dig up in the basement so he could play with her. They're so cute together!

Nora just adores Charlotte and Murf's dog, Dakota, and I think the feeling is mutual. Dakota and Murf came over for breakfast Sunday morning, and I got these cute pictures of the two of them.

So cute...love the pics and videos.

1) She has a better workout ethic than I've had lately ;0)

2) There is something that just sounds better about bunny dust.

In the words of Nora, "oh please come on"....would you send in a photo to a photo contest already?! You could have won lots of $ or prizes by now with all your amazing pictures. The ones of Nora and Dakota are fabulous. And you're brave for allowing 2 recorders in one house! :) She's a budding musician, so cute.
