The FARM!!!!!

Last weekend Murphey and I took Nora to a local farm. It was so great, and so close!! It's a real, working family farm and they open their doors to the public for a few hours on Saturdays. We saw so many animals! Chickens, pigs, rabbits, goats, cows, horses, ponies, a llama, a donkey and even a tortoise! Nora was fascinated with each and every animal. They also had a play fort/tree house with a slide that she loved. But her absolute favorite was the slide. I had to wrestle a few obnoxious older kids away because they kept pushing past her and had it not been for my restraining arm, they would have plowed down on top of her going down the slide. Ahh well.... I know in no time at all, she'll be a big kid too...

So tomorrow, Friday, we are going with some friends to another farm. I decided to tell Nora this after dinner. She became so excited I thought she was going to burst. We talked about everything she saw at the farm for a few minutes and I decided it was too cute not to have on video. So I ran and got the camera and we were able to get her talking about it again. Tomorrow is going to be a fun day!!

By the way... I flipped out myself when Nora remembered the name of the pony she rode was "Rose." She caught me off guard with that one, big time. I'm a little worried, because nothing gets past this girl. I'm going to have to watch myself in the years to come. I have a feeling she'll be able to smell a lie the second it's conceived in my brain.

p.s. I don't know what's up with the funny face she's making when she talks about the chickens and the pigs!!!

Oh my gosh, I can't believe she is talking so well. I understood everything that she said. I love the way she kept saying "k" after everything you asked her. She is so adorable and I can't believe how fast she is growing up. Have a great time at the farm.

I got so excited watching this! As soon as I get home, I want to go to that farm with Nora and see Rose and feed the pigs, chickens, tortoise and goats with her. What joy! What enthusiasm! What a way to see old things through new eyes!
