31 Weeks

October 12-18
What a busy week! A lot happened this week, Murphey's birthday, first snowfall, and I "made over" our office! Phew!
Nora's sitting up more and more, and she is so close to pushing herself up to a sitting position. She's got the sidelying thing down pretty well, she just needs to build up the arm strength and coordination to push herself up the rest of the way.

She's up to eating a great variety of foods. She even put up less of a fight than her father does for eating green beans!! Her favorites are pears and apples. Her least favorites seem to be bananas, and as you can see in this video, this is what she does with them... (she also does this when she's done eating, I think she's actually eating apples in the video. It just happens the whole time eating bananas, not just at the end.)

We had our first snowfall of the season. It snowed pretty much all day, and I was surprised that it actually stuck. The snow was on the ground for only a day and a half, but made for a nice cozy day. Nora loved watching the big fat flakes fall, and I got some pictures of her and Murphey.
While it was snowing, I was busy re-doing our office. For those of you who don't know, practically every room in our house was painted this awful, brownish-pinkish southwestern color when we moved in. I HATE painting. I hate how messy the whole process is, so I have been avoiding it all by just keeping the doors shut to the office and not going in there very much. Well, I got the urge to re-do it this week, and nothing could stand in my way. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It's still kinda messy in the pictures, but what an improvement. I didn't bother picking up for the "before" pictures, so it would make the after picture look even better. ;) Just kidding...

Before...
Notice the mass amounts of computer wires hanging from the desk???? I spent an hour and a freakin half under the desk zip-tying and organizing those damn wires. Behind that desk was the Bermuda triangle for surge protector power strips. I consolidated them and was able to pull out 3 extras! I guess we set the computer up in a hurry when we moved in and didn't think about it until now. Thank god it's over! They're still not pretty, but it's way better than it was. I know you're envious of my organized wires.

After...

I love all the photos of Nora but I especially love the one of Nora and Murphy head to head. I love the look on her face and think that it is just precious. I also love the video of her eating her apples or is it bananas. She is so funny. I also love the redone office. It looks very nice and I like the new color even though I have never seen the old color.

The office looks great:) It's always an coomplishment to redo a room but with a baby in the house, it's more like a miracle:)
