My Bike Riding, Ant Hunting Tree Sloth

Nora's latest fascinations are bugs and trees, with the occasional bike ride thrown in. Levi came over yesterday with his strider bike, which is the coolest thing ever! He's only had his for a couple of months, and he is already riding without his feet on the ground! He's ready for a pedal bike WITHOUT training wheels! Amazing!

Nora is a little slower to get the hang of it, but she spent the most time on it yesterday figuring it out than she ever has.

The bike was still, she was just trying to lift her feet and balance. Tricky!
Levi cruised down this hill, no problem.
They are both fascinated with bugs. Nora keeps finding ants and "keeping" them. She put a bunch in a little container the other day and did not want to let them escape.

Her other latest thing is wanting to climb trees and hang from branches like a tree sloth. I had this bamboo pole in the garage so I brought it in this morning for her to play on and hang from. Here she's about 5' off the ground. I put her up in the tree and she FROZE. It was great. I was able to get a bunch of pictures of her without having to chase her around like crazy. After a few minutes she started hollering "Ayudame! Ayudame!!" ("help" in spanish, like the animals on Diego say)

Mia,

I do enjoy your great stories & great photos. Of course, you do have a wonderful topic & subject in Nora (& all her buddies, too)!

I'm impressed that you were able to catch so many ants. Daniel and I tried to catch ants, we got 4 after 30 minutes. I got him a little ant farm at Target, he loves it. You should get one for Nora.

Those pictures are great! You take some amazing pictures, Mia! I wish they had those balance bikes everywhere. It makes more sense to learn to ride a bike that way. It looks like Nora and Levi had a great time!
