Miquette, Barry and Eileen (Ginger's mom) were all in town this weekend for Ginger's shower. We had her shower here at our house, yesterday. It was so much fun!!! We all went out to breakfast together and then wandered around the Boulder Creek Festival. It has a great mix of fair rides, vendors, artisans, and kid's activities. Nora got to try out kayaking, ALL BY HERSELF and she and Levi rode a little mini ferris wheel together.
What I'm about to say next is deserving of a blog post all of it's own, but here goes... Murphey got me a new camera (Canon 50D) and it's a real beauty! He gave it to me on Friday, but with the shower and everything else going on, I hadn't had a chance to really play with it. I did use it to take some pictures of the shower yesterday, but was really excited to take it out today. I carried it to the festival, went to take a picture, and it told me there was no memory card in it. I took the card out last night to load the pics on my computer and never put it back in. Argh!!
So, of course, there were plenty of opportunites for great pictures through the day and all I had was my cameraphone. I did get some cute ones, but wished every minute that I had a memory card.
On a mini ferris wheel together. They were so cute!

Geared up, ready to kayak!

Just waiting
