Twirly Girl

Grandma got into town yesterday. Nora was so excited to go to the airport to pick her up. Once we got in the car, Nora said something along the lines of "Grandma, I don't like to take you to the airport." And she wanted reassurance that Grandma was going to sleep at our house. So sweet. We went straight to our favorite sushi restaurant for lunch and Nora asked again "Why do we have to take Grandma to the airport?" She is definitely enjoying every minute of Grandma being here, as are we. Too bad I've come down with some kind of virus and feel like garbage today. Hopefully it will pass quickly, before Nora's b-day party on Sunday.

Nora is very into "twirling" lately. I took her to 'church' on Sunday. I use the term 'church' very loosely here. We went to the "Hell Yeah Church of Love and Miracles" in Boulder. It is held monthly in the back of a bar. The 'reverend' is a friend of Ginger's, her name is Jane. Her description of the church (which constituted about 15 people) is this: "Our services are intended for anyone who wants to have an uplifting experience and share that with other like minded souls. We are here to have fun. If you love great music fused with a spiritual touch, then that's what you'll find at the Hell Yeah Church of Love and Miracles." Anyway, one of the people there was a tango instructor. Nora was spinning around throughout the service, and afterward Ellen pulled her aside and showed Nora how to really twirl. Here she is twirling, wearing a skirt I ordered her off of Etsy.com for her birthday.

Grandmama has been at it again. She knit Nora a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL sweater and hat.

Oh, and I think I'm going to open a new business... Makeovers by Mia. Tell me what you think!!! ;)

Before:After:

Pretty good, huh? Before you think I've gone crazy, I have to say I did this late last night and was kind of giddy. I took pictures of Charlotte for her new edition of her curriculum that is being published. As I was about to send them to her I noticed there was lipstick on her teeth that I had to photoshop. I told her I'd fix them and sent her these as a joke. Here's the picture of her that's going to be on her new book cover. Congrats, Charlotte!

Mia,
Murphey and I can't thank you enough for the dental make-over! We love our new look and it is so much easier to eat corn-on-the cob, entire lobsters including the shells, and biting through whole watermelons.

Hey Mia! I love Nora's birthday skirt! I'm a HUGE fan of etsy.com as well :)
