On Saturday, Charlotte and Murf came over to help Nora dye Easter eggs. She had so much fun watching the eggs change colors.

We woke up to about an inch of snow on the ground this morning. (It began snowing like crazy at dinnertime yesterday). It was very disappointing, but fortunately by lunchtime it had mostly melted.

Closing her eyes, just like Murphey does (unintentionally) every time I take his picture.

As you saw in the video, she did not like getting the egg from Elmo.

I guess it was kinda mean of me to do this then...

After making the deviled eggs, we headed over to Grandmomma and Grandpoppa's house. Yesterday when we took Nora outside to put her squirrel in our tree, she did not want to put it in our tree (I guess our Aspen is not worthy). She decided to put it in Grandmomma's cherry tree. On our way over today we visited it.

Charlotte made a wonderful Easter dinner for us. Nora was very excited about the pineapple, and I think Murphey ate his weight in potatoes! After lunch Charlotte and Murf gave us each an Easter basket and then we went outside for another egg hunt.

Other funny stuff...
- Nora has picked up Grandmomma's NC accent. Somehow, "milk," "bed," and "red" have all become 2 syllable words.
- She has started using pronouns appropriately and it's a riot. She's also taken a liking to using the word "just." Some examples of things she's said the past few days:
"I just pooped!"
"I have my ______ (horse, shoe, etc.)"
The other day as we were getting ready to go to her music class, I asked her if she wanted to play for a few minutes as I got ready, she said "No, I just go to music class."
And the best one yet, tonight, as I was taking her poor, crying self upstairs to put to bed for the evening, "It's not time for bed, I just wake up!"
She's also quite good at alerting us when she's doing something naughty. Her pediatrician (Dr. Moffat) told her not to chew her fingernails and toenails (I know, Gross!) because she could get another owie. So now, whenever she puts her fingers in her mouth, I know she's doing it without even seeing her because I hear her say "What did Dr. Moffat say?" I then ask her what Dr. Moffat said, and it goes like this "Don't bite your fingernails, toenails, momma's fingers, poppa's fingers, ponies..." the list goes on according to whatever she's mouthing at the time. Thanks Dr. Moffat!!! Her other self tattle-tale is "Sweety... Come on!" said in the same exasperated tone Murphey has resorted to once or twice with her when she has pushed him to his limit. That is when we know she is doing something truly naughty.
Happy Easter!!

Nora is Beautiful in her Easter dress.
What cute stories. She really is talking in conversations now. Amazing how fast they grow. I love her Easter dress, she looks beautiful. And, what an interesting place to put the egg with Elmo!!!! Looks like you had a great day. I also love Nora's reaction every time she got paint on her fingers!
Looks and sounds like it was a great day.
Nora is so adorable in her Easter outfit...could you please tell her to stop growing up so quickly though?
