Bossy Nora

Levi came over last week to play. He really seemed to enjoy himself, despite Nora being quite a bossy lil' thing. Hmmm... I wonder who she gets it from. They were playing really peacefully, and then I heard her directing him around and grabbed my flip video. Oh... and notice the cat door? I was in the kitchen a little while later, and heard something rubbing against the door. I looked over to see Levi's little butt and legs sticking out on our side of the door (his head, shoulders and arms were completely through). I was about to run around and go in the other door to that room and pull him through, and he started wiggling again, this time retreating out the door. He popped out and had Nora's play broom in his hand. Nora's playroom is "closed" (or as she says it, "playroom broken") while we paint and redo the floors in there. Apparently Levi looked through the hole and saw a toy he wanted to get, so he got it!

I decided to try to have Nora help make Valentine cookies for us to give to her little friends. The video will explain why we didn't give any of the cookies away. She had a blast making them, though.

Lastly, I enrolled Nora in a music class at the rec center again this month. Now in addition to looking forward to her beloved garbage truck on Mondays, she has music class. I am also very proud to say that she reached a huge milestone this Monday. Monday, February 11, she referred (on her own, with NO coaching, as I have given up trying with this) to music class as "Music Class" instead of "Mucas Class." Up until now, whenever she said "music" it came out "mucas" (yes, as in snot).

Here's an example of a conversation we'd have in the car, in Target, out in a restaurant, anywhere:

Nora: More mucus please!
Me (or Murphey): You would like to hear some muu-ssick?
Nora: oKKKKKK!
Me (or Murphey): Say, "more muuu-sssick please"
Nora: More muuu-casss please!

So, surely you can understand our excitement, when all day long yesterday, she referred to music class as... music class. :)

Oh yea, music class HAS to be much more enjoyable.

Now the mucous is in the cookies where it belongs ;0)

Too funny.

Oh, aren't you just a little sad that it's not muuucasss anymore? It will be a fond memory down the road. Can she finally say "cracker" instead of "crack"?
