A Few of the Few

One of the highlights of our trip to Green Bay was driving to a little town in the middle of Wisconsin to meet up with a very dear friend of mine from high school. Amie and I became close friends after meeting in choir class. One day she and another girl, Nicola, were sitting down singing and playing guitar. They called me over for some reason, I can't remember what now, and next thing I know, Nicola and I were playing guitar and Amie was rockin' some wicked harmonies and we wrote a few songs.

The last time I saw her was in 1994, she met up with me and my high school "Odyssey of the Mind" team as we were headed to the World Championships in Aimes, IA. (We had a layover in Minneapolis, and she moved there in 1993) (Don't get any ideas about how good my OM team was, we literally had no competition with any other Department of Defense schools in England, so we got to go to World Championships by default. Proved to be quite embarrassing, seeing as we weren't anywhere near the caliber of the teams that truly made it to World) Anyway...

Amie now lives with her husband Jeff and beautiful baby girl, June, near Minneapolis. The whole freaking time I was in Wisconsin for school, she was hours away and we never met up. So we decided it's time, and after 13 years, we all headed to central Wisconsin and took over the banquet room of a nice restaurant (we had the place to ourselves) for a leisurely several hour long lunch. It was so nice to see her again and meet her husband and baby.

So here's a picture of us in the old days, with Nicola

And here's a picture of us now... It was so good seeing you Amie...

And for your listening entertainment, the first song we wrote, "Endless Nights."

You guys have such pretty voices. That is really cool that you have that recorded.

What talent! Everybody should also click on that "t" with the sound wave icon on the player's control strip to hear your other song that you have hidden there. Got any other tracks recorded? More importantly, when is the reunion tour?
