Still doing catch-up blogging...

The weekend after we got back from VA we went to Steamboat with some friends for a camping trip. It's a lovely town and Nora had a great time playing with her little friends Sophia and Levi.

It was raining the evening we pulled up to our campsite, so we were a bit wet once we got everything set up. The next morning there were puddles everywhere, and Sophia did a great job showing them all to Nora. I have never seen this child so dirty and muddy before. Her pants needed some serious soaking in Oxyclean when we got home!

We took her swimming in Steamboat. Steve and Martha showed us this neat little junction where the hot springs feed into the Yampa river. The way the rocks were positioned it created 3 little pools of water that were a nice warm temperature.

She cannot resist blowing bubbles!

Doing the "Itsy Bitsy Spider"
The weekend after that was our neighborhood picnic. Martha, Steve and Levi just moved into the neighborhood so they joined us at the party. Of course there was a massive inflatable death pit, or jumping castle, as we used to call them. And of course, that was all Nora wanted to do. I decided to take her in there, thinking that it would be too rough for her and she would be scared and want to leave. All she wanted to do was run back and forth in it (knee-high to the bouncing pre-teens who were giving each other bloody noses right and left). I'm going to start calling this girl "Nora Kneevil."Oh, they also had a fire truck there, that she loved, and she kept saying "fire truck" and running towards it. You know it's bad when the firefighters recognize you and your child from responding to your house, oh well. They were very nice and wanted to know how she was doing.

Great pics, keep them comin'! I do think that Nora is part frog, part fish, and part tomboy which makes for an interesting childhood.
