The big 3-0

Murphey's 30th birthday was Friday the 13th!!! On his birthday he received a package from the Kallaoses in St. Louis. In it was one of the most unique presents he has ever received. They sent him a paper bag from White Castle, so he could smell the cheeseburgers. (We don't have White Castle out here.) He LOVED IT! Go figure.

In the 3rd photo he's smelling homemade chocolate chip cookies Kelly packed for him also!

Everyone in this picture has moved to Colorado from the Metro D.C. area!!! It was like a mini-reunion.)

Another surprise arrived that evening, when I took Murphey out for dinner. I had arranged for our friends to meet us out (including the ones from Grand Junction) to come into town to help us celebrate. He was surprised and it was so much fun spending the weekend with everyone.

The whole evening was made possible by our good friend, Kim, who babysat Nora for us while we were out. Another milestone! First time left with a non-family babysitter. We will definitely have to return the favor, for Kim is due with their first baby (a boy!) in December!
